TRANSFORMATION TIME!

“Whatever causes us pain is also the mechanism/catalyst that motivates us to seek and find answers.”

“We are all tied together in the fabric of life by our struggles… especially when all think we are all alone.”

Stop Being Angry - Start Being Free
Listen: Programmed By Resentment

What is stress anyway?
Every moment of every day we are confronted with pressure, aggravation and environmental forces that either strengthen, or weaken us depending upon our awareness about the underlying dynamic present in the experience. Unless we are aware of our own relationship with each moment we are likely to be knocked from our inner center. Once out of balance, we become an extension of the presence that we have emotionally responded to.

Coal into diamonds: How we grow
The pressure of everyday life is the causal mechanism that forms our personality and destiny. In the film Back to the Future, the hero is whisked back in time to witness his yet to be father as a wimpy  people-pleaser being pushed and shoved around by the town bully.  But, by a single twist of fate, the coward confronts the bully and thus the future of everyone in the story is altered. Change the way you deal with stress and you can change your future.

Mind over Matters

Even though pressure and stress are very real enemies they serve to cull out the strong from the weak. Each of us must choose which of the two we will become. No one else can decide for us to overcome the problems we face. In the long run, your attitude is the source of your success or failure.

Accepting life’s challenge

Life is not for the meek. Every moment of every day is a challenge to us to make decisions. To achieve the best results, we must sort through what does not work. Grasping the correct perspective is the key. Right now
each of us assigns blame and responsibility to any number of other people, places, and things for our actions and reactions, empowering who and what we blame to control the outcome of most experiences.

Attitude = Altitude
Positive life transformation begins when you are ready stop allowing your environment to dictate the terms and conditions of who you are and how you will respond. You have the power to stop environmental factors from imposing upon you. But no one is going to ever give you permission to take your life and destiny into your own hands. Only you can make the choice to be free.

Healthy stress!
Athletes use the stress of their work-out to build and define their bodies. Astronauts that leave behind the earth's gravitational field find their bones and muscles diminishing. Gravity is a form of stress that causes the strengthening of the body. Each of us actually need stress in order to evolve as we learn to properly deal with it. Stress is not the problem, our lack of ability to confront it with calm and patience is.

Positive thinking vs. positive action
If you are five foot four inches tall, but you think and feel six foot eight inches tall does that thought transform into reality? No. Reality is not altered by the mere act of thinking and even believing that a thing is other than what it truly is. Powerlessness is based in a belief in something that weakens and robs us of character and actual personal strength. Simply by overlaying one set of beliefs over another we are not freed from that which binds or constrains us. To become strong, we must see through the ideas, lies, and illusions that control us.

Priority determines result
We almost always allow what is least important to take the place of what is most important. Each of us prioritizes our lives according to our needs. But many of our needs have arisen out of wrong reactions or compensations resulting from fear, anger, and negative emotions. The end result is that we are often applying the wrong principles, hoping for a right outcome.

Problems, or peices of a puzzle
Our problems are actually like time capsules which contain all the information about when our lives went wrong and why. Most people however, avoid looking into the capsule because from our emotional mind we tend to view our problems from a traumatic perspective. An ancient adage says: If we fail to learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. With an objective attitude you will learn more from your failures than any success.

The prize is in the process
There are only two types of people: process or outcome based. If you are outcome based you are unhappy, anxious and chronically worried. Outcome orientation causes us to neglect the moment as we focus ahead of the moment  into the unpredictable future. The result: Our expectations are often dashed and our drive and motivation eventually diminished. Process based people are more at ease, more confident, less worried because they understand the power of working through each successive moment. Their goals are met with minimum effort and maximum satisfaction.

Discovering meaning in everything
Nothing happens without a reason. There is a causal factor underlying every thought, feeling, and event. We tend to want to believe that the element of chance is a deciding factor. But then so does a gambler. The truth is the odds are severely stacked against the very chance of there even being a chance factor. Everything happens for, with, and as a result of a specific reason.

Spontaneous vs. planned behavior
All the planning in the world cannot compensate for intuitively knowing the right thing to do, at the right time, for the right reason. Planning has its place, in building, in road trips and ocean voyages, in making a cake. But even the best of plans still has to be carried out one step at a time.

Are you in a subjective state?
There are only two states of mind: subjective and objective. Right now, you are in a subjective mental/emotional condition. You are subject to your environment through your emotions. Emotion is the psychic glue that binds you mentally, emotionally and spiritually to the outside world. To become unglued, you must eventually learn to be in an objective state at all times. In the objective state you are in control of your reactions thus the environment is subject to you.

The liberating power of awareness
The power of awareness progressively grows as you master the principle of giving your attention to each successive moment. If you are not consciously giving your awareness to each moment, it is being stolen from you by a dominant external presence. Become aware of your compulsive responses to each external presence and you will equally become newly conscious of an appropriate way to deal with every experience.

Think less, accomplish more
Everyone believes that thinking produces answers when in fact thinking produces anxiety and confusion. Thinking, worry, anger, and fear are all indicators that you are in a reactionary/survival mode. In this state, your mind is referencing your inner library of past reactionary experience. The problem is that each new moment presents us with a new opportunity to act from a NOW state of being rather that regurgitating old beliefs and reactions that most often do not properly address the situation at hand.

Worry erodes self-confidence
Worry is evidence that we are disconnected from our higher conscious self. Worry is a doubt oriented emotional state that is usually reinforced by anger. The word confidence is derived from the Latin word ”confideo” meaning "with knowing." Every emotional reaction clouds our conscious awareness and thus our ability to see problems or situations calmly and clearly. Learn the power of being CALM in every situation.

Reward vs. punishment
Reward and punishment are both equally wrong reasons for doing anything. There is only one right reason to do, or not do: Simply, because it is or is not right to do. We are all accustomed to responding to reward or punishment as the causal force behind our behavior. But this only means that you are never acting spontaneously as a conscious, free agent.

Why we make wrong decisions
We are all caught up in personal loss and personal gain. This way of living can only result in doubt, fear and anxiety. Most people are never satisfied because they resent feeling depriving us of what we feel is owed to us. Even if we get what we want, we are only more empty and frustrated because we often have to give up something of our selves in order to get it.

What anxiety is telling us
Anxiety is the evidence that something needs our objective attention. Most people compulsively resist and resent anxiety, but anxiety can become a powerful instrument for identifying and rooting out mental/emotional weakness and subtle areas of self-doubt.
